Plan for a good City Presented at the Assembly, Support from Many Public Personalities

The Ne davimo Beograd Movement held its third Assembly, at which reports on the work of the movement's bodies were presented, inaddition to a plan on how to liberate Belgrade, stop all harmful projects of the criminal government and fight for Belgrade to become a good city for everyone. At the final part of the event, the "Charter for a Good City" was presented, which was supported by over 150 public figures and independent intellectuals.

Pressures on Ne davimo Beograd and independent media in Serbia

The construction company Millennium Team is suing Ne davimo, asking for almost 100,000 € for material damages. These are supposedly caused by our publishing of a text on changes to the Belgrade urban plan. This change allows Millennium Team to demolish the Goša Institute for research and development and build a residential-business complex on the lot.

Ne davimo Beograd congratulates Možemo! and Tomislav Tomašević for a historic victory

The Ne davimo Beograd movement congratulates their friends from the coalition Možemo! (We can) on great results achieved in local elections across Croatia. We paid special attention to the great victory that our colleagues and friends achieved in the city of Zagreb, where they will be able to take power and responsibility for the future of their city. Congratulations to Tomislav Tomašević, who almost secured the victory for mayor in the first round, and succeeded to do so in the second with a significant majority (63%).

International Secretariat established: The first goal is membership in the European Greens

The Ne davimo Beograd movement has formed an international secretariat in order to improve cooperation with political movements, parties and initiatives with which it shares similar values. One of the first and most important tasks of the international secretariat will be closer cooperation and improvement of relations with the group of Green political organisations throughout Europe. At the recently held Assembly of the movement, Thomas Weitz, co-chairman of the European Green Party and member of the European Parliament, sent his support for Ne davimo Beograd, and the formalisation of relations with the European Greens is expected soon

International support from the European Green party and Progressive International for Don’t Let Belgrade D(r)own

Progressive International and the European Green party congratulated Don’t Let Belgrade D(r)own for holding the electoral assembly on the day of Liberation of Belgrade during the Second World War. Two significant guests made an appearance during the assembly - the philosopher Srećko Horvat and the European Green party’s Thomas Waitz had a chance to address the attendees via a video message.

New leadership elected on Annual Assembly 2020

The Electoral Assembly for Don’t Let Belgrade D(r)own was held on Belgrade Liberation Day, during which the plan for improvement of Belgrade was presented. New leadership was also elected tasked with developing the movement’s inner structure and expanding the membership, which has doubled this year alone. The membership elected Natalija Simović, Dobrica Veselinović, Radomir Lazović, Robert Kozma, and Biljana Đorđević for the Small committee, the main political body of the organization, during the Assembly.
