The Movement Ne Davimo Beograd (Don’t Let Belgrade Drown) has formed, together with Otvorena građanska platforma (Open Civic Platform) AKCIJA and Ekološki ustanak (Environmental Uprising), the green-left coalition MORAMO (WE MUST), which will run in the upcoming city and republic elections. In addition to these three organisations, MORAMO coalition consists of a large number of other individuals, activists and movements.

The MORAMO coalition will base its joint work on key topics of ecology and the fight for a healthy living environment.

In a society with entrenched economic inequalities, such as Serbia, one of the most important issues we will deal with is social justice, i.e. the fight for better living and working conditions for all citizens.

The future we are looking at cannot be achieved without a large investment in education.

The urban development of our cities must be such as to create cities that belong to the citizens, and not to the tycoons who fill every meter of public space.

In addition to these topics, it is important for our coalition to achieve substantial decentralization of Serbia, which means making more important decisions at the local level, close to the citizens, and local economic development, and not to start and end in Belgrade.

The pandemic has shown us that our health system is in limbo and that we must make great efforts to provide care and necessary treatment to all our citizens.

The formation of the MORAMO coalition comes at a time of great growth in support for Ne Davimo Beograd in Belgrade, as well as the entire green-left movements. The Demostat research center announced that the support for the coalition is about 13 percent in Belgrade, or about 7 percent at the level of the Republic. Also, research shows that the greatest chance for victory of the opposition is in the capital, and the change of governance in Belgrade could be the first step towards the liberation of the whole of Serbia.
